I wanted to share this documentary from Luxor Media - this is not my own content, but it's one of the first good films I watched on the subject of alchemy, about 5 years ago.
This inspired me to create the 7 step process of music making which became known as Audio Alchemy.
I'll be getting into this a lot more, but for anybody who's unfamiliar with Alchemy, or thinks it's some old fashioned hocus-pocus pseudo-science, you couldn't be more wrong. Alchemy is at the root of it all, the intersection of science, art and spirituality. It's what's happening, all the time.
Alchemy is the original soul science.
Modern science and all it's various offshoots are but broken fragments of the alchemical crystal of truth that lies at the heart of all human traditions.
It has been fiercely attacked, hidden and obscured, but also plagiarised and rebranded into other terminology.
It is so universal we use it every day without even realising.
But it's not up to me to convince you of Alchemy, there is a whole tradition of it in every culture going back to the deepest antiquity, if you're curious then dive in with an open mind and it will reward you richly.
