In this episode we dive deep into the magical harmonic mathematics of the number 432, looking at it's recurrence in the measurement of time and how it makes the perfect reference for musical tuning.

019 - Inspiration Returns, Purification of the Heart & Bitwig Wiggles
In this first stream of 2022, I am feeling quite motivated and inspired. I talk through the seven steps again, but this time with a focus on mental alchemy and purification of the heart, before diving into Bitwig for a fiddle with some of it's awesome new features.
017 - Personal Alchemy, Astrological Music and something a bit Avant Garde
After a bit of a lengthy break from streaming, we return here with a 2-part session, the first being more free flowing, catching up on some of the personal events of recent months and deliberating the future of this project in these uncertain times.
Part 2 goes into Bitwig, and a couple of experimental new music projects. One involving the representation of astrological data as sound , and another more 'avant-garde'.

Diving Deep - My EP for the Outlaw Ocean Series
In 2020 I was approached to produce an EP for a project called Outlaw Ocean.
Journalist Ian Urbina spent 5 years on the ocean investigating many facets of life in the realm of international waters, and wrote a book detailing his journey.
Following this, he set up this project to get music producers to create EP's inspired by the book, and provided access to a library of audio from his journey, as well as archive recordings from old documentaries.
The EP will be released on Ian's label Synesthesia Media…

Finally pleased to share some new music coming out on July 9th of 2021!
It's all inspired by The Ocean. In this session I give you a full preview of the EP, with glorious visualisations by Flux Pure Analyzer, then take you on a wee tour of one of the Ableton projects, as well as some spiritual reflections of course.
015 - The Great Work
In this video I dive deeper into the idea of the great work, and reveal some of my thoughts on the current world agenda, there's a bit of Ableton trickery towards the end but this was mostly an open and honest stream of consciousness with some slides for guidance.
I hope you enjoy.
014 - Psychedelic Shamanism & Spiritual Beliefs, Surprising Self-Discoveries and a Wee Bit of Psybreaks
I wish I could say "the title says it all" but honestly it barely even begins to cover it. There's a a lot of ground covered here, I felt the need to open up about some of my deeper spiritual beliefs and perspectives gained from shamanic work that has been very influential in my life.
I talk about God, how I came to believe, and how I think of the concept of God as the source of Good Energy or Goodness.
We dive into Alchemy and look at the divine attributes of the Principles, Elements and Luminaries, and I…

Following a brief intro covering some high level political stuff and a quick look into the idea of The Renaissance Man (more on that in future), I dive into Bitwig and begin making a tune interactively on the stream.
It's definitely a whole different game doing it live instead of solo, there isn't the same level of focus, however I will work on this some more, and then come back to it in a future stream when it is more developed.
012 - Serum Preset Review
Happy new year!
While i've not made much music recently, I did transmute December of 2020 into a new collection of Serum presets as a gift of gratitude to my lovely subscribers. In this video I give a guided tour of the new collection, do some jamming with them, and show how they were made.
You can download the Serum presets here.
011 - Sound and Instrument Design with Bitwig 3.3
Following a brief overview of the interface, we dive deep into Bitwig's Polymer synthesiser, designing instrument patches that are responsive to piano keys, rich in tonal variation and subtlety, utilising randomness and minimalist modulations to breathe life into sounds.
Check it out and get inspired ...
010 - Just Make Something Beautiful
Though we can talk endlessly about the various facets of an artists life, the essential task we are each confronted with every day is quite simply this:
Just Make Something Beautiful
008 - Alchemy & Individuation
Individuation is the process of becoming an indivisible person or a 'whole man'.
We are all born with a unique set of codes in our body, from our DNA to our astrological birth chart, our finger prints and biometrics etc. Our individual essence is fundamentally numerical, it's a code that is unique to us.
In alchemy it is understood that all essences, being numbers, are eternal, they are not subject to the same cycles of growth and decay as material objects, rather they are numerical quantities that exist…
Read more007 - Bitwig and Brain Fog
I was super tired and foggy brained during this stream (full story explained at the start of the video), but the intention was to have an introductory exploration of Bitwig, and hopefully managed to achieve that on some level.
To be honest though I barely scratched the surface of what this awesome software has to offer.
Nevertheless, I will be back, well rested, with more Bitwig streams in future! :)
006 - The Integral Model and Music of the Spheres
Here we look at the Integral Model of philosopher Ken Wilber, some wise words from Terrence McKenna, and we explore some 600 year old Alchemical art on the vibrational nature of the Luminaries, and how they affect human consciousness.
A 14th Century Representation of Mercury, ruler of the intellect (Mercurius > More Curious)
In the 2nd part we dive into Ableton, look at some creative ways to use a Grand Piano patch, some probabilistic sequencing with Melodic Steps, and finally a desperate attempt to get…

The music of the ancient world was designed to correspond with the cycles of the stars in the heavens or the so called "music of the spheres" based on the Hermetic principle of "as above, so below".
The image below, from ancient Greece, shows correspondances of western diatonic musical modes, or moods, with planetary energies and the seven muses, or the seven sisters, daughters of Apollo.
A mode is essentially a geometric division of the octave, with diatonic (7 notes) hexatonic (6 notes) and pentatonic…

For this video I put together a mind-map showing the 7 stage alchemical process for music production, see the image below for a high level version.
I talk through the 7 steps, and look at structuring musical compositions around the sine wave.
Then I dive into Ableton and do some work on the project I started way back on the first live stream.
I hope you enjoy it, shoot me any questions if you got em!
btw - I wasn't aware that my webcam wasn't showing, sorry
Next time someone let me know, yeah? ;)
001 - Novelty Generation with Melodic Steps
In this first live stream, we look at using S&H LFO's and uneven loop lengths to add life, variation and unpredictability into sounds.
I use Ableton's Operator and 'Melodic Steps' MIDI device, combined with the mappable LFO device, as well taking a brief excursion into XLN's XO plugin for building drum loops.
My laptop was reaching it's limits during this stream, so I kept it brief, but a new computer is on it's way - supercharged mac mini with 3.2Ghz 6-core i7 and 32GB of RAM.
Future streams will be…
