In this episode we dive deep into the magical harmonic mathematics of the number 432, looking at it's recurrence in the measurement of time and how it makes the perfect reference for musical tuning. 

In this first stream of 2022, I am feeling quite motivated and inspired. I talk through the seven steps again, but this time with a focus on mental alchemy and purification of the heart, before diving into Bitwig for a fiddle with some of it's awesome new features. 
 

After a bit of a lengthy break from streaming, we return here with a 2-part session, the first being more free flowing, catching up on some of the personal events of recent months and deliberating the future of this project in these uncertain times.

Part 2 goes into Bitwig, and a couple of experimental new music projects. One involving the representation of astrological data as sound , and another more 'avant-garde'.

Following a brief intro covering some high level political stuff and a quick look into the idea of The Renaissance Man (more on that in future), I dive into Bitwig and begin making a tune interactively on the stream. 

It's definitely a whole different game doing it live instead of solo, there isn't the same level of focus, however I will work on this some more, and then come back to it in a future stream when it is more developed.

While i've not made much music recently, I did transmute December of 2020 into a new collection of Serum presets as a gift of gratitude to my lovely subscribers. In this video I give a guided tour of the new collection, do some jamming with them, and show how they were made.

Following a brief overview of the interface, we dive deep into Bitwig's Polymer synthesiser, designing instrument patches that are responsive to piano keys, rich in tonal variation and subtlety, utilising randomness and minimalist modulations to breathe life into sounds.

Though we can talk endlessly about the various facets of an artists life, the essential task we are each confronted with every day is quite simply this:

Just Make Something Beautiful

In this video I dive into sorcery, what it is, how it is used in the world today, and how to break free from its influence. I think this will be a recurring theme in the streams, since we are currently living in a time of rampant sorcery. 

You may have heard this biblical quote before, it's thrown around a lot these days:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."…

I was super tired and foggy brained during this stream (full story explained at the start of the video), but the intention was to have an introductory exploration of Bitwig, and hopefully managed to achieve that on some level. 

To be honest though I barely scratched the surface of what this awesome software has to offer.

Nevertheless, I will be back, well rested, with more Bitwig streams in future! :)
